Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
HN Communications is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We fully support the principles of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and oppose all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced or child labour. We recognise our responsibility to ensure that our business and supply chains are free from these practices.
Our Business
HN Communications is a strategic communications consultancy specialising in sustainability and reputation advisory. We work with global corporates, NGOs, and partners to help them tell their sustainability stories, build trust, and engage stakeholders effectively.
We operate primarily in the UK, with a network of global suppliers and partners providing creative, digital, and production services.
Our Commitment
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all our relationships. We expect the same high standards from our suppliers, contractors, and partners, and we will not knowingly engage with anyone involved in slavery, servitude, forced labour, or human trafficking.
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain is relatively low risk, consisting mainly of professional service providers, freelancers, event production companies, and digital service suppliers. Nevertheless, we are committed to ensuring that all those we work with share our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.
Our Policies and Practices
To uphold our commitment, we have implemented the following measures:
Conduct due diligence on new suppliers and contractors to assess potential risks related to modern slavery.
Include ethical conduct and compliance expectations in supplier contracts and agreements where relevant.
Promote awareness within our team about human rights and ethical sourcing.
Review our procurement processes annually to ensure they align with best practice and the Modern Slavery Act.
Training and Awareness
All employees are made aware of the risks of modern slavery and our expectations through onboarding, internal communications, and policy briefings. Team members are encouraged to report any concerns or unethical behaviour without fear of reprisal.
Looking Ahead
HN Communications will continue to strengthen its approach to preventing modern slavery by:
Regularly reviewing and updating our supplier due diligence processes.
Extending our ethical policies to include clear anti-slavery commitments in all supplier contracts.
Increasing staff awareness and understanding of human rights issues in global supply chains.
